BROOKLYN - Police responded to a 911 call at a parole office in Brooklyn and found an officer had been shot in the right shoulder.

Police arrested 50-year-old Robert Morales, a parolee who was at the scene and charged him with attempted murder. Authorities also recovered a loaded handgun.

The parole officer was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he is in stable condition.
