Police: Pregnant bride-to-be found murdered in Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE - Police say a pregnant woman who was set to be married tomorrow was found murdered in her home Saturday morning.

Vindalee Smith was found unconscious in her East 94th Street home at around 9 a.m. News 12 Brooklyn was told that the 38-year-old victim was eight months pregnant and had stab wounds to her neck. Her unborn child did not survive the attack.

Smith has four other children who were taken away by police earlier in the day Saturday.

Investigators say the medical examiner is currently trying to determine the cause of death.
