Police probe another attempted sexual assault in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN - Another Park Slope woman says she was assaulted by a man while walking home from the subway station in Brooklyn. The latest incident happened Thursday in the same area that another victim was attacked the night before.

Authorities say the female victim had just stepped off the R train at Prospect Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. when a man grabbed her and whispered something offensive in her ear. On Wednesday night, a different woman reported a similar incident while getting off the same stop at around 9:30 p.m.

The latest incident brings the total number of reported attacks in the Park Slope and Sunset Park areas to 11 since March. An NYPD mobile unit has been set up just off Prospect Avenue.

Police, along with the Guardian Angels, have stepped up foot patrols and have released sketches of the two men they believe are behind the attacks.
