Police probe Crown Heights home invasion

BROOKLYN - Several armed men allegedly stormed into a Crown Heights apartment overnight and threatened a family, witnesses say.

Tuesday morning, police were collecting evidence from the crime scene at the intersection of Lincoln Place and Franklin Avenue.

Tony Fisher, the owner of Fisher's Supermarket, says a man who escaped from the apartment ran into his store, dressed only in a T-shirt and boxer shorts, begging for help.

"He was obviously in shock [and] said that they invaded his house and [are] holding his family hostage," Fisher says.

No information has been released regarding possible suspects.
