Police probe stray bullets found inside home of elderly woman

BROWNSVILLE - Police are investigating after bullet holes were found in the window of an elderly woman's apartment in Brownsville.

Officials say the second-story window faces Grafton Street.

Rose Clifton, 77, says she heard gunshots this morning but was in bed at the time. When she got up, she found the bullet holes.

She says this is the second time in three years this has happened.

Police believe the incident to be criminal mischief but are investigating to see if they are connected to other shootings in the area.
