EAST FLATBUSH - The NYPD stepped up its presence around I.S. 285 in East Flatbush Tuesday after an 18-year-old man was shot at a nearby bus stop.

Parents say they hope the police response to the shooting, which happened Monday afternoon on Beverly Road, isn't a short-term answer.

An NYPD investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
