BROOKLYN - Police have released new surveillance video of a man they are calling a person of interest in connection with several sexual assaults in the Sunset Park, Park Slope and Greenwood Heights areas.

According to authorities, there have been nine confirmed reported attacks since March where the suspect uses force to try and subdue female victims. Police say they are searching for two, or possibly three, men.

The latest incident happened in the 78th Precinct, which varies from the previous eight attacks that took place in the 68th and 72nd precincts.

The video shows a man that officials describe as either a white or light-skinned Hispanic male, about 28 years old. He is wearing a red baseball cap, blue jeans and a black waist-length jacket.

A second public safety meeting was held last night where police updated concerned residents on their investigation. They say they have stepped up patrols, including more plain-clothes officers, and are handing out sketches.

Anyone who may recognize the person in the video is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. >
