BROOKLYN - Police are reaching out to the public for help tracking down a robbery suspect.

Cops released the picture of a man who they say approached a 35-year-old as he was walking up the steps to his home within the 79th Precinct, near Putnam and Franklin avenues.

They say the suspect tried to take the man's iPhone, but he fought back, and was pulled down the steps. The victim suffered minor injuries from hitting his head.

The suspect then managed to get away with the phone.
