Police release photos of livery cab assault suspects

Police have released photos of two men they believe assaulted and robbed a livery cab in Bay Ridge.The incident happened on 68th Street and Owls

BAY RIDGE - Police have released photos of two men they believe assaulted and robbed a livery cab in Bay Ridge.

The incident happened on 68th Street and Owls Head Court on Wednesday. One suspect got into the cab, putting a knife to the drivers neck, demanding he turn off the car. It is during this moment that police believe the second suspect stole the driver's wallet, along with his cell phone and his money.

The New York Federation of Taxi Drivers requires that all cabs have a camera, which helped snap the photos police have released.

Police think that both suspects are Hispanic, with one having a tattoo on his left hand. If you have any information, police ask you to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-8477
