BROOKLYN - Police today released surveillance video which they say shows three suspects in the murder of a Midwood shop owner.

Police say as many as five suspects pulled 61-year-old Steve Halfon into a Volvo before beating him to death.

Halfon's body was found dumped on a residential street not far from his Kings Highway coin shop, police say.In the video, the suspects are seen trying to wipe fingerprints off of the blue Volvo, which was found abandoned. The suspects are also shown dumping their bloodied clothing nearby, police say.

Longtime friends of the victim say he often carried suitcases with him, and the suspects likely knew that there were collectibles or cash inside.

Investigators are urging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
