Police search for attempted rapist in Bed-Stuy

Police are on the hunt for a man who they say is responsible for two violent attempted rapes in Bed-Stuy over the past two months.

BROOKLYN - Police are on the hunt for a man who they say is responsible for two violent attempted rapes in Bed-Stuy over the past two months.

According to authorities, the second attack happened this past Friday when a 61-year-old woman had to fight off the suspect. They say she suffered lacerations to her arm and face and a broken ankle.

Cops believe the same man also tried to rape a 77-year-old on Oct. 26. In both attempts, they say he forced the victims into the back of a store or their place of employment.

The suspect has been caught on surveillance video and is described as black, possibly in his mid-20s or early 30s and weighing about 170 pounds.
