Police search for bank robber on the loose

BROOKLYN - Police are searching for a bank robber on the loose, who allegedly went on a crime spree last month, hitting three banks in Brooklyn.

Police described the robber as a black man in his 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds. He was last seen dressed in white T-shirt and blue jeans.

The man is believed to have robbed Banco Popolar on Graham Avenue twice in one month, a Washington Mutual branch, also located on Graham Avenue, and an HSBC branch at 342 Fulton St.

Police did not reveal how money the robber made off with.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the Brooklyn bank robber is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
