BROOKLYN - Police are asking for help identifying the driver in a fatal hit-and run-accident in Brighton Beach.

Officials say they are looking for the driver of a black Ford Explorer that was traveling east on Brighton Beach Avenue Sunday morning. The vehicle struck a 60-year-old man and then fled the scene. The man was transported to Coney Island Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
