Police are continuing to search for the driver of a van who struck a 6-year-old boy in Brooklyn before fleeing the scene.

BROOKLYN - Police are looking for the driver of a van who struck a 6-year-old boy in Brooklyn and then fled the scene.

It happened at Fort Hamilton Parkway and 41st Street in Borough Park Wednesday, police say.

Surveillance video shows a black minivan turning right through a red light and hitting the child.

The video shows the boy's mother rushing to her child's aid and bringing him across the street as the driver appears to stop for a moment, look at the damage to his car and then flee southbound on Fort Hamilton Parkway.

Police say the vehicle's license plates included the letters T-L-C, and is likely registered to a livery service.
