Police search for gunmen in child's shooting

BROOKLYN - Police are searching for two gunmen who shot a 5-year-old in the leg during a gun battle yesterday.

Police say Syniah Herndon was a bystander during a shooting in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Neighbor Zuleika Morena called 911 and wrapped the girl?s bleeding leg in a shirt until ambulances arrived.

Police say two men were also shot in the arm. Witnesses say they believe the shooting could have been gang-related.
