BROOKLYN - Police are searching for a man they say robbed five Brooklyn stores since March.

Authorities believe the same suspect has walked into the shops, displayed a gun and demanded cash. Jose Collado, a store owner, says the suspect made off with more than $300 from his cash register. Collado says the man also assaulted him during the robbery.

Police say the suspect is a man between the ages of 16 and 19 and about 6 feet tall. Surveillance video of the suspect from one robbery shows him wearing a hooded sweatshirt. Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
