Police search for suspect in attempted bank robbery

SHEEPSHEAD BAY - Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding a man who allegedly tried to rob a bank in Sheepshead Bay yesterday.

Police say the man walked into a Citibank branch and passed a note to the teller demanding money. The teller then walked away and the would-be robber fled without any cash, police say.

Anyone with information about the attempted robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS - .
