Police search for suspect in attempted sex assault

BROOKLYN - Police in Brooklyn say they are looking for a man who climbed through a woman's window in Brooklyn and attempted to sexually assault her.

Authorities say the man is Hispanic, 5?5? to 5?7? tall, with dark-colored hair and a medium complexion.

Police say last week he climbed up the fire escape of an East Flatbush apartment and entered the victim's bedroom through an open window. He touched her before she awoke and started screaming, and then he ran off.

Anyone with information on this man should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
