Police say the suspect cut a hole in the ceiling of Malcolm X Boulevard Deli on March 23.

BED-STUY - A search is underway for a man accused of burglarizing a deli in Bed-Stuy.

Police say the suspect cut a hole in the ceiling of Malcolm X Boulevard Deli on March 23 and stole about $2,500 from the cash register, almost $6,000 from an ATM inside the deli, cigarettes and lottery tickets. Surveillance video shows him walking into the New Garden Farm to cash in one of the winning scratch-off tickets that he allegedly stole.

Anyone with information that can help police catch the thief should call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
