Police searching for Eric McCormick as suspect in Sellis Gonzalez’ murder

BROOKLYN - Police are now officially focused on finding the boyfriend of a Brownsville mother that was shot and killed Wednesday night.

Investigators say Sellis Gonzalez was found by two of her children inside their second-floor apartment on Chauncey Street with multiple gunshot wounds to her head and upper body. Suspect Eric McCormick, 40, was caught on surveillance walking outside Gonzalez' apartment.

Sources say McCormick sent the two kids to the store with money, and when they returned, they found their mother's lifeless body.

There is a growing memorial in front of the home where Gonzalez was killed.
