Police seek driver in fatal hit-and-run

BENSONHURST - ? Police are looking for the driver of an SUV accused of a fatal hit-and-run in Bensonhurst early Saturday.

Investigators say the driver of a dark BMW SUV barreled into 25-year-old Manuel Tzajguachiac at the intersection of 20th Avenue and 65th Street at about 12:30 a.m. Tzajguachiac was pronounced dead at Lutheran Hospital.

Tzajguachiac was on the way home from his job as an overnight janitor at a local school when he was killed. The gruesome accident was captured on surveillance video from a nearby deli.

Residents say cars frequently speed along 20th Avenue, ignoring the 30-mph speed limit.
