OCEAN HILL - Police say a woman fought off an attacker who was attempting to rape her Sunday in Ocean Hill.

Officials say the woman was attacked in an apartment building laundry room near Prospect Place and Howard Avenue.

Investigators say the 26-year-old victim was grabbed by the neck and thrown to the ground, where the suspect then attempted to rape her. They say the victim fought off her attacker and was able to run off.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
