Police still seek suspects in fatal Brownsville shooting

BROWNSVILLE - Police are still searching for suspects in a fatal shooting that left a mother dead and two others injured outside a school yesterday afternoon.

Officials say 34-year-old Zurana Horton was gunned down near P.S. 298 on the corner of Watkins Street and Pitkin Avenue.

Cheyanne McKnight, 11, and a 31-year-old woman were also shot. Both are expected to recover, according to authorities.

Police say they believe that two people may have been responsible for the shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. There is a $12,000 reward being offered in the case.
