BROOKLYN - Police are seeking the public's assistance in catching the men wanted in connection to robbing two livery cab drivers in the borough Saturday.

Police say a livery cab driver was on the road at the corner of Wyckoff Avenue and Covert Street when one suspect pulled out a gun and demanded money. They say the driver fled on foot while the suspects took $70 in cash from the driver-side area of the cab.

One of the suspects was then allegedly picked up by another livery cab, this time on Weirfield Street, between Irving and Wyckoff avenues. Police say the suspect held up the second driver, getting away with $250. They say the suspect then fled.

No injuries were reported in either robbery.

One suspect in the first incident is described as wearing a dark top and cap, the other wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt. The suspect in the second incident is wearing the same dark sweatshirt, with a mask covering the bottom portion of his face.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
