BROOKLYN - Police are searching for five suspects who allegedly held up a teenage girl in Prospect Park on Tuesday and stole her cell phone.

Authorities say the incident happened around 6:35 p.m., when the 14-year-old victim was somehow separated from a group of friends near Doggie Beach.

That is when police believe four males and one female cornered the girl. According to police, while one of the attackers threatened her with a gun, others pulled a cell phone out of her back pocket.

All five then fled from the scene on foot. Police say the victim was not injured.

Police say the Prospect Park robbery appears to be an isolated incident, but they are still investigating.
