Police: Toddler hit by stray bullet in Coney Island

CONEY ISLAND - A 2-year-old girl is recovering at Lutheran Hospital after being shot in the leg in Coney Island last night.

The child was shot at around 10 p.m. at 29-50 West 35th St. while playing in a playground. Police believe the toddler was hit by a stray bullet from a dispute down the block.

Witnesses report hearing approximately 10 shots fired. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.

The girl is in stable condition.
