BENSONHURST - Police tweeted out a photo Tuesday of a man accused in an attempted rape in Bensonhurst earlier this month.

According to police, the incident happened in the vicinity of 20th Avenue and 74th Street. The photo released by the 62nd Precinct shows a man attempting to grab someone.

Police say the suspect walked up to a 34-year-old woman on August 5 and began kissing her neck. Investigators say she resisted and the suspect ran off. He's described as being between 5'5" and 5'8" with a thin build and dark shoulder-length hair.

The special victims unit is involved in the case.
