Police: Woman attacked, robbed in elevator on Saint John's Place

BROOKLYN - Police are searching for the suspect they say attacked and robbed a woman in an elevator last night.

According to police, the 69-year-old woman was pushed to the ground in an elevator of a building at 540 Saint John's Place. The suspect allegedly kicked and punched the woman before taking her rings, chains and pendants and then running off.

The woman was not injured in the attack.

The suspect was last seen wearing blue jeans and a gray sweatshirt. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
