Police are searching for a woman who they say tried to rob a bank in East New York.

BROOKLYN - Police are searching for a woman who they say tried to rob a bank in East New York.

They say the woman walked into a Chase branch on Linden Boulevard and passed a note to the teller.

However, they say she wasn't able to take off with any cash.

Police describe the woman as Hispanic, between 28 to 35 years old with a light complexion, brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
