THE BRONX - Police say they found a woman’s body with multiple stab wounds at the Marble Hill Houses late Tuesday afternoon.

After receiving reports of a foul smell coming from an apartment at the 69 West 225th St. housing complex, police say they found a deceased 36-year-old woman inside.

Investigators say the victim was found stabbed multiple times in the torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neighbors say the smell originated from a 12th-floor apartment.

Her identity is not being released at this time, pending family notification and an autopsy will determine the exact cause and time of death.

Area residents say the Marble Hill Houses is generally a quiet complex.
