BROOKLYN - A gas station clerk in Bay Ridge says one of his regular customers was caught on camera stealing from his store while he was helping another patron.

It happened last week at the Gulf gas station mini-mart on Fourth Avenue at Senator Street. The station employee says he was serving a cup of a coffee to a woman when another customer asked for help out by the pumps.

While the clerk was away, the woman inside the store allegedly slipped behind the counter and stole $1,500 worth of scratch-off lotto tickets and electronic cigarettes. Surveillance video was rolling as she grabbed the items.
