Police: Young boy struck by car in Bushwick

BUSHWICK - Police say a young boy was struck by a car in a hit-and-run at around 8 p.m. Friday evening in Bushwick.

The incident happened at the intersection of Irving Avenue and Schaefer Street.

A family member says the boy is 7 years old and was taken to Brookdale Hospital. Officials say his injuries are minor.

Witnesses say a black livery cab struck the child.
