Poll: Bloomberg approval rating up in NY

NEW YORK - More New Yorkers are giving high marks to Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

A NY1-Marist Poll released Tuesday found 36 percent of New Yorkers say he's doing a good job and 10 percent rate his performance as excellent.

One official behind the poll says the mayor's role in the Sept. 11 anniversary and his handling of Hurricane Irene may be responsible for the uptick.
