Poll: Weiner's constituents don't want resignation

NEW YORK - (AP) - A new poll says embattled U.S. Rep. AnthonyWeiner still enjoys support among his constituents, with a slimmajority of voters in his congressional district saying he shouldremain in office.

The Marist poll of voters in Brooklyn and Queens found that56 percent said he shouldn't resign.

The survey of 512 adults was performed by the Marist CollegeInstitute for Public Opinion on Wednesday, as a new photographpurportedly of the congressman's genitalia began circulating on theInternet.

A third of the surveyed voters said he should quit and 12percent said they were unsure.

Weiner admitted Monday that he used the Internet to sendexplicit photos and sexual messages to about a half-dozen womenover the past three years.

He has said he won't resign.
