BROOKLYN - People from around the borough were in Red Hook today to get their fill of bacon, ham and all types of other pork dishes.

The fourth annual Pig Island festival was held in Red Hook today. The festival was previously held on Governor's Island, but it was moved to Red Hook this year to help the local economy, which has struggled in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.

The festival featured dishes from 25 different chefs and restaurants, including pork bellies, pork burgers and even candied bacon brownies. Wine and cider were also on tap.

The event organizer says he hopes to have Pig Island along the waterfront in Red Hook again next year.
