BROOKLYN - Power has been restored this evening to nearly 1,500 Brooklyn residents.

The outage this afternoon was caused by an electric cable that went out, according to Con Edison.

Con Edison says the affected areas included Polar Street, Mermaid Avenue, West 27th Street and Seagate.
