Prospect Heights school gets new playground

PROSPECT HEIGHTS - Students at a Prospect Heights school now have a new place to play and exercise.

With the cut of a ribbon, the new playground at P.S. 9 was unveiled on what was once a black asphalt lot with only a basketball court. The new playground, which was funded by the Nets basketball team and local politicians, features tennis courts, a track and chess tables.

Trees were also planted behind the school as part of the unveiling.
