Protest marks 10 years of war in Afghanistan

BROOKLYN - Some Brooklyn residents marked the 10-year anniversary of the war in Afghanistan today with a protest.

The small rally was held by the group Peace Action Bay Ridge outside of Congressman Michael Grimm's (R-NY) office. Protesters say they are fighting 10 years of death and debt.

Since entering the war on Oct. 7, 2001, Brooklyn has lost four soldiers overseas. The most recent loss was Marine Lcpl. Jabari Thompson, who died last July at only 22 years old.
