BROOKLYN - Pianos were installed across Brooklyn today as part of a two-week music program.

The pianos were individually decorated by local artists, students and volunteers.

Residents are encouraged to play them, which many at Brooklyn Bridge Park today did.

The pianos will be available to the public until July 5.

The program also coincided with the Make Music New York Festival which took place today. The festival offered more than 1,000 free performances throughout the city.
