Puerto Ricans come out in force to celebrate parade

BROOKLYN - Puerto Ricans took over Fifth Avenue on Sunday to celebrate one of the largest parades in the country.

Millions lined the avenue in Manhattan for the 51st installment of the Puerto Rican Day Parade.

?Every year it grows and every year it?s more and more beautiful,? says Milagros Rodriguez.

Music, dancing and most of all pride were in abundant display during the parade.

?I?m proud to be Puerto Rican 100 percent,? says Juan Linares.

Rapper Fat Joe, a native of the Bronx, also performed at the event.

Of the parade, he says it?s ?almost like New Year?s Eve in summer for Puerto Ricans.?
