BROOKLYN - Overnight rainfall has made for a messy morning commute.

Nearly 3 inches fell in some parts of Brooklyn, with the worst of the storm hitting farther east, but there is still some flooding in usual spots.

Drivers should take it easy on the slick roads, and pedestrians will want to grab their rain gear for the rest of the morning.

Spotty showers continue until midday when the sun makes a return.
