BROOKLYN - Workers and community members are calling on Gov. Andrew Cuomo to stop the proposed closure of the Brooklyn Developmental Center.

A group rallied yesterday saying the center serves more than 400 individuals with mental and physical disabilities. They say closing the facility would leave people without the care they need and eliminate hundreds of jobs.

Gov. Cuomo's office has not provided a response concerning the issue.
