WILLIAMSBURG - The Ramen burger, the latest food trend, is gaining popularity worldwide and it got its start at a food market in Williamsburg.

Chef Keizo Shimamoto created the Ramen burger after spending the past four years in Japan learning about how to prepare Ramen noodles. Shimamoto began selling the burgers at the Smorgusburg Food Market last month and with people spreading the word on social media, the burgers have become an international sensation.

The burgers are available at the market every Saturday starting at 11 a.m., with people lining up as early as 6 a.m. to try one before they sell out.
