BROOKLYN - In this week's Ready, Set, Fit, News 12's Natasha Geigel learned the art of Bollywood dancing.
The dance style comes from Bollywood, Indian films which feature music and dance sequences. The dancing has entered popular culture with the Oscar-winning film "Slumdog Millionaire," and Miss New York Nina Davuluri's dance performance that helped her win the title of Miss America last year.
Bharati Kemraj, who has been a Bollywood dance instructor for 15 years, says the dance style is a combination of different cultures, including Hindi and Spanish. Kemraj says it's a great cardio workout and dancers can burn up to 340 calories in less than 45 minutes.
