BROOKLYN - An art gallery on Red Hook's waterfront that was badly damaged by Superstorm Sandy last fall has made its triumphant recovery, and it celebrated with an art show.
Today was the final day of a show at BWAC that featured original pieces by many Brooklyn artists. The theme of the exhibit was "Scapes." Some of the artists even used Sandy debris in their art.
A silent auction was held, with bids starting as low as $30. Local musicians also played some tunes in the gallery.
BWAC will hold a new show in September.
