BROOKLYN - Food vendor season in Red Hook officially began today, and vendors began serving traditional street foods from all corners of Latin America.

Some of the vendors, who are known as the Red Hook Food Vendors or Ballfield Vendors, have been serving food in the area since 1974.

Tasty treats including chalupas, mangos filled with flavorful sauces, and Guatemalan rellenitos.

The vendors will be serving food every weekend through October from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
