BROOKLYN - The Red Hook neighborhood got a helping artistic hand in storm recovery over the weekend.

Dozens of tattoo and art lovers attended a benefit for the hard-hit area. Attendees had a chance to get inked up for a good cause, with many choosing a simple red hook tattoo. Artists from all over the world also sent their work to be part of a silent auction.

All of the proceeds from the event will go toward rebuilding Red Hook store fronts. Organizers say they raised more than $13,000.
