Repairs urged for Brownsville Recreation Center

BROWNSVILLE - Members of the Brownsville Recreation Center are calling on the city?s Department of Parks and Recreation to make repairs to the building.

According to members, the area most in need of repair is the swimming pool. They say the exhaust fans haven't worked in years, causing mold and corrosion in the pool area.

The center is owned by the city and members say they should not have to make repairs out of their own pockets.

The Department of Parks and Recreation says it is aware of the problems and is trying to get funding to fix it.
