MIDWOOD - A 911 dispatcher is under investigation for allegedly laughing about a phone call about a Midwood killing, then providing wrong information to police, according to a printed report.

The report says the call came in last Friday about a possible murder in Midwood. The call came from the suspect's psychiatrist. Tapes allegedly show the dispatcher laughing the call off, then providing wrong information to police. Four days later, police found the body of 57-year-old Yevonne Gefner after a neighbor reported a foul odor.

Police arrested the man Gefner lives with, Ronald Fried-Fertig. Fried-Fertig is now in psychiatric care and allegedly claimed he killed Gefner for casting evil spells on him.
