BROOKLYN - You may be stuffing your bellies this Thanksgiving, but that could also mean a slimmer wallet.

According to the American Farm Bureau Federation, the cost of a classic turkey dinner has increased about 13 percent from last year.

Shoppers in Park Slope say they're doing their best to shop smart by checking prices at different stores. At C-Town Supermarket, the average turkey costs about $25, but most said they won't let the high prices damper their holiday spirit.
